Empowering Indian Enterprises for Global Excellence
The National Division for Industry Excellence (NDIE) is an initiative of the Quality Council of India (QCI) dedicated to advancing India’s industrial growth through quality, innovation, and sustainability. It serves as a strategic platform to strengthen the nation’s industrial competitiveness and prepare Indian enterprises to lead on the global stage.
Our mission is to empower Indian enterprises, particularly MSMEs, to embrace globally benchmarked practices of quality, sustainability, and innovation, while advancing national programmes of strategic importance that fortify self-reliance, defence indigenisation, and industrial modernisation. We aim to foster a culture of continuous improvement through training, advocacy, and engagement, and to promote inclusive, sustainable growth that harmonises economic progress with environmental responsibility.
Through flagship initiatives such as the MSME Sustainable (ZED) Certification, MSME Competitive (Lean) Scheme, and SAMAR (System for Advance Manufacturing Assessment and Rating), NDIE helps enterprises enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and build resilience.
Working in close collaboration with government ministries, industry bodies, and stakeholders, NDIE is shaping India’s journey towards industrial excellence, ensuring that “Made in India” continues to mean “Led by India.”
